Coronavirus Origins

Coronavirus is a big mysterious disease that many people are skeptical about. Where did it come from? The entire world is baffled about this disease and its ability to spread quickly. Did the disease come from nature or a lab? Scientists are still puzzled on where to begin. Many people believe that the research is still inconclusive. The virus spreads by droplets getting into your mouth and can be transferred through coughing, sneezing, or touching a contaminated surface and then your face. People who catch the virus experience flu-like symptoms, but worse.

We do have some hints about bits and pieces of Covid’s origins. The most well known information about its origin is that it started in China. A widely accepted belief is that the virus originated in bats or some other mammal. It is also said that the virus most likely spread from a live market, which sells live animals. The pangolin could be one of the animals that facilitated the spread. The information isn’t there to fully back it up however. There are no records of pangolin being sold in the markets in question because it is illegal to sell them. They could have been sold there, but there is no evidence that says for sure. The pangolin isn’t the main animal in question though since cats, cows, and other animals can have the virus latch onto them. It could have also come from a lab. Was it an accident or was it on purpose? The lab that was most suspected was the WIV lab. In order to conduct research on viruses like this, labs need

to have a certain level of clearance. The WIV lab had the highest level of clearance which means they could work on very dangerous viruses. The likelihood that it was made for war is small. However, the closest known relative of the virus was being studied at the lab and could have evolved and gotten out.

There are lots of good leads on stories about the origin of this virus, but most of them don’t answer all the questions. Many of the stories are dead ends, and when they are investigated, people come up empty handed. While it seems like one thing or the other could be the cause, scientists can’t rule out any logistical possibilities because they don’t truly know. As for now, the information that we have is growing everyday, but is not enough to say for sure where the virus started.
